“Sharing your bread with the hungry, sheltering the oppressed and the homeless; Clothing the naked when you see them. And not turning your back on your own." Isaiah 58; 7
The Christian Service Committee responds to requests from those in need through financial assistance in the areas of food, housing and utilities. Our ongoing primary focus is the funding of the Saints Mary and Joseph Food Pantry, addressing the problem of food insecurity (limited or uncertain access to adequate food) in our community.
Our fund is supported by the generosity of loving and concerned parishioners, and by the Salem Knights of Columbus. We work cooperatively with the Town of Salem Welfare Department, the Salem School System (SAU 57), the Greater Salem Caregivers, and other town agencies to provide temporary/one time assistance for our Salem, NH brothers and sisters in need.
